Some older XMeye firmware versions accept special characters (like @ or ! ) during setup but fail to recognize them on the local login screen. Stick to a strong mix of letters and numbers.
If the QR code method does not work or if you cannot use the app, opening the DVR is the most reliable fallback. This removes the temporary password by clearing the NVRAM. Disconnect the DVR from the power source.
Open the DVR casing and locate the small silver button cell battery (CR2032) on the motherboard. Remove the battery and wait for approximately 30–60 seconds
