Web Filter Is Not Activated Categorization Is Disabled Hot — Kerio Control

Restart the service:

The Web Filter relies heavily on your firewall's ability to reach update servers (such as v4.url.zvelo.com ) to download categorization databases and authorizations. If the firewall experiences DNS lookup timeouts, it will flag the web filter as unreliable and disable it.

Check the box again to and click Apply .

Ensure your Kerio Control Web Filter license is active. Without a valid subscription, the module defaults to a trial state and eventually disables itself. Follow this logical sequence: Check the box again

It is possible that the filter is running but has been grayed out or deactivated in your Content Rules table.

Navigate to > Applications and Web Categories . Ensure Enable Kerio Control Web Filter is checked. It is possible that the filter is running

Fix DNS forwarders or bypass internal DNS for Kerio's update domains.
